Our Team
Carol - Owner / Teacher

The first time I was introduced to scrapbooking was when my youngest daughter was in Pre-School. There was an invitation in her cubby that said bring 8 - 10 photos to one of the mom's homes. It was a scrapbooking demonstration, we learned all the basics, completed a 12 x 12 layout and I was instantly ADDICTED!!

I've been involved in crafting / hobbies my whole life. I coordinated the Glen Lake Elementary School Craft Fairs for 7 years. Scrapbooking is one hobby I have never put down. I LOVE preserving my family's memories as well as the fun and creative side decorating my pages.

I'm married to my amazing husband Rod. We have 2 beautiful daughters Dawn and Drew who you will see occasionally working in the store on weekends. Owning a scrapbooking store has always been a dream of mine and I absolutely love this chapter in my life!

Joyce - has moved to Cranbook!

The time has come to say goodbye to everyone who has made me smile over the last 9+ years. Scrapbook Parade was more than just a workplace to me, it was a place where people were my friends and shared with me the stories of their ancestors. I'll never forget dead Fred and Alma. I would like to say I've met so many good people here, both past and present, and that is what has made this job truly enjoyable. It was a special time for me. I feel honoured to have been given the opportunity to help you preserve your cherished memories.

I'm going to miss working at Scrapbook Parade. I will always remember each and everyone who took my classes, and I know that you will remember me every time you ink, distress or rip your scrapbooking papers. I hope that you all continue to preserve your history "one page at a time" with Elizajane. She is very talented and is looking forward to teaching you. So thank you for everything!

Elizajane - Sales/Teacher

I'm one of the newest addition to Scrapbook Parade and I'm so excited! I mean, think about it, could spending your days in an awesome scrapbook store alongside great people with the same obsession really be considered "work"?

I've been scrapbooking since I got my first camera over 25 years ago. At that time scrapbooking consisted of cutting my very poorly taken photos into odd shapes and placing them into photo albums with the very sticky plastic sheets. I also made sure to include various odd and interesting memorable and an assortment of glittery, scratch and sniff and puffy stickers. What a long way we've come! About 10 years later I won the bid at a silent auction for 2 people to attend a Creative Memories class. I was hooked! I became a Creative Memories Consultant, teaching classes and introducing my friends and family to scrapbooking. After a few years, I stopped being a Consultant, but never stopped scrapbooking. I am currently addicted to mini albums and have probably given away as gifts more than I have kept. I love rub-ons, patterned paper and ink pads.

I am also married to a man who is amazingly supportive of my hobby, as equally creative and whom I believe is a closet scrapbooker.

Jacquelin - Teacher/Sales

I am lucky to be a mom to four fabulous kids and a sweet husband! They provide me with lots of great photo opportunities and are very cooperative scrapbooking subjects (at least most of the time)!
I have been a teacher at Scrapbook Parade for just over four years and I love the chance this gives me to help people put their photos and journaling together to tell their stories. I believe that we are all creative and that scrapbooking should be a fun, creative expression of ourselves and our stories!
I am addicted to anything chipboard and have a passion for combining patterned paper in a simple, graphic style. I never scrap in chronological order! My scrapbooking goals are to be as good with a blade as Joyce, and to learn to use my new baby - a digital SLR camera with lots of bells and whistles!

Cathy - Midnight Crops/Sales

I've had the extreme pleasure of working at Scrapbook Parade since 2004 (with a 2 year hiatus) and now back working again as the midnight crop girl. Midnight crops are a great way to escape your busy life and sit back and enjoy some big girl time working on your favorite hobby, scrapbooking!
I was first introduced to scrapbooking by my sister in law in 2001 after I had my first child, Ryan. I started out using plain old white cardstock and stickers but it didn't take me long to see that scrapbooking was much more fun using patterned papers, embellishments and now stamps and chipboard. The possibilities are endless, although, I will confess (but don't tell Carol); I am a first hand scraplifter. Nevertheless, I find this gives me inspiration and more ideas to manipulate the layout. Unlike Jacquelin who never works in chronological order, I must scrapbook in chronological order, I find there is no other way (I guess this is part of my O.C.D) -- This means I'm always about a year behind.
Now with two beautiful kids (and a great husband) this gives me plenty of opportunities to take photos to then create and preserve those precious memories. On the other hand, I will always find, there are too many photos and not enough time to scrapbook them.

Lana - Sales/Parade Crops

Hi I'm Lana Day. I'm excited to be part of the Scrapbook Parade Team because I'm a learning junkie so I look forward to seeing everyones amazing creations. My first job ever was in a flower shop and I've been doing floral design (and more) ever since. I haven't been scrapbooking near as long as I've been playing with flowers but I use the same philosophy for both, start off small and work your way up! Right now I'd describe my scrapbooking style as "Simply and Real" just like me! I also like to dabble in photography which drives my husband crazy but my 2 boys are total posers. In 2007 we moved here from Nova Scotia and scrapbooking has allowed me to meet wonderful people and has led me to where I am today.
Scrap On!
